Few areas in Calgary offer the combination of natural beauty, established infrastructure, and genuine lifestyle variety that defines the Douglasdale, DouglasGlen, and Quarry Park corridor. Together, these communities encompass the land along the east side of the Bow River between Deerfoot Trail and the community of McKenzie, accommodating approximately 12,000 residents, over 4,000 homes, and more than 150 businesses. Established in 1986, Douglasdale/DouglasGlen is one of the most sought-after communities in Calgary's Southeast quadrant, and Quarry Park, its younger neighbour to the north, has added a modern urban dimension that gives the entire area a range and completeness that few SE Calgary communities can match.
Each of the three communities has its own distinct character. Douglasdale is the most established, defined by mature trees, generous lots, and homes that back onto the golf course or overlook the Bow River escarpment.
