McKenzie Lake is one of Calgary's largest lake communities, with over 15,000 residents. The McKenzie Lake Residents Association is committed to bringing people together through a full calendar of programming and seasonal events, including the annual Winter Carnival, jellybean dances, New Year's celebrations, and Children's Christmas parties. A wide range of programs are offered to residents, including scouting, sports, exercise classes, martial arts, church groups, and dance. It is the kind of active, engaged community association that gives a neighbourhood a social fabric that no developer can manufacture, it simply develops over decades of people choosing to stay and invest in where they live.
