McKenzie Lake

McKenzie Lake is a great community to raise a family. The lake community offers activities all year round.  Summer activities include swimming, boating, tennis, beach volleyball, and picnic spots for large family events. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout for summer and winter fishing.  Many programs are offered at the lake including tennis and swimming lessons, kayaking, stand up paddle board lessons, yoga (check the website mlra.ca for the latest information). Winter activities include skating (leisure skating with fire pit, skating around the lake and hockey rinks – maintained with a zamboni), ice fishing, tobogganing. The upstairs hall, overlooking the lake is suitable for many different occasions, birthday parties, weddings, and Christmas parties. 


McKenzie Lake also has a large community center (across the street from the lake house) with an outdoor skating rink and fantastic playground for younger children. The center offers many classes and programs, even drop in programs such as basketball or pickle ball. Preschool, afterschool care and many senior programs, this community center offers somthing for everyone.


Many bike paths run throughout the community along the Bow River and into Fish Creek Park. Beautiful green spaces and play parks for kids can be found throughout the community.

McKenzie Meadows Golf Course is a semi-public course beautifully situated in the valley of Bow River.  The club includes a great practice facility – 2 ranges, chipping, pitching, and putting - even a sand trap; a large variety of lessons, pro-shop, and restaurant. mckenziemeadows.com
